Kate Gosselin's New Extensions!
My mane man Ted Gibson is unbeweavable. Just look what he's done to Kate Gosselin! Once mocked for her chickenbutt hairstyle, she now looks - dare I say - pretty?
Last week, it was all Ted & Kate plus hundreds of tracks. Ted spent 20 hours meticulously adding dozens of extensions to Kate's hair.
"Kate was an absolute sweetheart, I loved her," says Gibson, who also appears on the TLC show What Not To Wear. While he knew that transforming the look that launched a thousand Halloween wigs would be a challenge, Gibson reveals it was the super-short, spiky hair in the back of Kate's notorious former hairstyle that proved most daunting. "Bonding extensions to those little hairs really took time. But in all those hours, she didn’t complain once. She was so open to whatever I suggested, and willing to try just about anything." Well, with one notable exception: At first, Gibson reports, Kate was reluctant to let go of the thick, jaw-length shock of hair in the front of her face in favor of bangs. "She wasn't sure about bangs," says Gibson, "But I find many women have that one thing they're afraid to let go of, that one 'security blanket' part of their look, whether it's a fear of going shorter or darker or something. But once they finally let go and embrace the change, they always love it."
"It's good to have hair again," Gosselin says. "I know this will be more upkeep than my old look, but I'm ready for it. I'm just grateful I don't have to go through the awkward growing-out process of short hair. I get criticized for everything I do enough as it is!"

3 Video: Holy Hair Extensions, Britney!

Brit Brit's body looks SICK in the video, and her makeup is impressive. At the same time, I'm kinda wondering why homegirl is still rocking these tired-looking extensions. Surely, after two and a half years, she should have found something that looks better than this. I'm no extension/weave expert, so maybe this is the best Britney could find. But if that's the case, I would've told Mr. cameraman to cool it on the closeups.

Kourtney Kardashian Wears Hair Extensions
This week, Kourtney Kardashian was spied getting her extensions touched up. Now, don't get it twisted...I am not hating on Kourtney for wearing a weave. In fact, I've been known to don them from time to time. I just felt the need to share these pics to show that even gorgeous reality stars sometimes need a little faux hair help.

Emmys 2009 Beauty: Blake Lively

To get the look, Renato started out by applying Fekkai Coiff Strong Hold Volume Mousse onto wet hair. Next he blow-dried the hair smooth and applied the Fekkai Coiff Extra Control Styling Gel to prep the hair. He then teased all the hair and pulled it up into a high ponytail. By adding some hair extensions to the ponytail, he created extra length for a more dramatic look.
Afterward, he braided the entire ponytail and fastened at the end. Campora finished by applying Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Creme throughout the entire look for a smooth and sleek effect.

Are You There Hair Weave? It's Me, Short Hair.
Have you ever been walking down the street and seen hair weave just discarded on the sidewalk? I don't know if this is something inherent to Philadelphia, or if there are rogue extensions littering the streets of America. But I just had to post these hilarious pics of weave remnants on the pavement near my apartment.
A few weeks ago while on a walk with Mr. Spoiled Pretty, we came across not one...not two...but three pieces of weave on the sidewalk. It was as if Hansel and Gretel left a trail of tracks so they could find their way back to the hair salon.
I'd love to know how these hair weaves end up homeless. Thoughts?
