Jane Iredale Chocolicks Lip Glosses: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

I'm adding the Jane Iredale Chocolicks Lip Gloss set to Spoiled Pretty's Holiday Beauty Gift Guide - although once you buy it, I doubt you'll be able to resist your selfish urges and actually give it away.

This collection of mini lip glosses offers any chocoholic four decadent options to satisfy her sweet tooth. And the set gets brownie points for the clever packaging.

What's even better? These glosses are formulated with 100% natural ingredients; sunflower seed oil has antioxidant benefits and jojoba seed oil hydrates!

* Truffle: rich brown gloss tastes of double chocolate
* Chocolate Orange: shimmering brown gloss tastes like dark chocolate and zesty orange
* Strawberry Cream: glossy pink that tastes like fresh strawberries and white chocolate
* Caramel: sheer bronze gloss with buttery sweetness

The glosses' pigments are subtle and sheer, so they're sure to compliment any complexion. They're on the sticky side, so if you have an aversion to tacky glosses (I happen to be an equal opportunity lipgloss lover) - this is something to note.

The Jane Iredale Chocoholicks Lip Gloss set ($44) is available at dermstore.com and drugstore.com.

Philosophy Gift of Grace 4 Piece Fragrance Collection: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

You know the family member/BFF/co-worker who tells you how amazing you smell every time you wear your Philosophy perfume? Well, take the hint and properly introduce her to the scent by hooking her up with the Philosophy Gift of Grace or Love 4-Piece Fragrance Collection - available exclusively at QVC.

Last year, I wanted to buy my sister, Lauren (an Amazing Grace newbie), a gift set. I searched all over the Internet and in stores to find the most comprehensive collection at a low price point...and nothing even came close to this one. Lauren loved it, and I was so happy to share one of my favorite scents with my lil sis.

The Gift of Grace or Love 4-Piece Fragrance Collection (available in Amazing Grace, Pure Grace, and Falling in Love) features Philosophy's highest-concentrated eau de parfum fragrance plus hand cream, body lotion, and 3-in-1 shower gel or shower cream - all in full sizes! It also includes a bonus bar soap. Perfectly packaged, the set is ready for giving.

Purchased separately, the products would cost you $119. But on QVC.com, it's only $71. And today, it's on sale for the low, low price of $58.74!

Origins Peace of Mind: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

Here's one of my holiday pet peeves: you're involved in a gift swap and the max amount you can spend is $10. Don't cha just hate that? What inevitably ends up happening is you wind up buying some throwaway gift and you think to yourself, "I should have just put an Alexander Hamilton in an envelope and been done with it."

Well, this year when you find yourself in that situation, I have the perfect gift pick: Origins Peace of Mind.

Peace of Mind is Origins' original stress-buster. When the world closes in on you and your head feels a size too small, apply just two dabs and you'll feel a tingling sensation as pressure, tension and tightness begin to melt away.

Any time I've got a lot on my mind and have trouble relaxing before bedtime, I dot this stuff on my temples, between my brows and on the nape of my neck. It's like a creamy, liquid lullaby. So next time you have to buy a present and penny-pinch, give the gift every one wants and needs: a good night sleep.

Origins Peace of Mind is available at Macy's and origins.com.

Beautyblender Hot Pink Holiday Giveaway

On Sunday, I waxed poetic about the Beautyblender sponge - the foundation applicator to end all foundation applicators. I told you you best add it to your holiday beauty gift-giving list...and today, I'm taking my own advice.

Spoiled Pretty is partnering with Beautyblender for a giveaway. Two lucky readers will win the Hot Pink Holiday gift set ($23.95), which includes Beautyblender and 3 oz Blendercleanser in an organza drawstring carry pouch.

To enter the giveaway, send an email to spoiledprettycontests@gmail.com. Be sure to include your full name and mailing address. The subject line should read "Beautyblender Hot Pink Holiday Giveaway." The contest ends at midnight (EST) on Tuesday, December 1st. Two winners will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Wednesday, December 2nd, I'll announce the winners' names. Beauty Bloggerati Spotlight: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

'Tis the season of giving...so if you haven't done so already, I highly suggest you check out Spoiled Pretty's Holiday Beauty Gift Guide.

To supplement my gift picks, I recently asked my fellow Daily Makeover Beauty Bloggerati to weigh in on their favorite stocking stuffers under $15, and this is what they had to say:

I love the L'Oreal Clean Artiste Makeup Remover Pen ($11). It cleans up all liquid liner mishaps in a flash and doesn't irritate my eye area. Best of all, the fact that it's called Clean Artiste, as opposed to simply Clean Artist, is so Hollywood Montrose from Mannequin. -Beauty Blogging Junkie

I love anything from E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) for stocking stuffers, because they have entire kits of makeup (for example, a standard/waterproof mascara, eye liner, and eye brightening pencil) for $3. Their individual products are only $1 each, so you could literally fill a stocking with products, without having to go over $10. Is there anything better than that? -Makeover Momma

I love the mini Sephora palettes. They offer such incredible value - this one has 8 eyeshadows, four glosses and a blush for $15! -The Jet Set Girls

I love to give essential beauty items to my step-daughter to stock her up. Yes to Carrots Lip Butter ($3.69), Gillette Venus razor and refill cartridges ($10.99-15), Neutrogena Body Oil ($13) and Pantene Pro-V 5 Minute Strengthening Mask ($4.50) are a few of my favorite stocking stuffers. -A Mom in Red High Heels

Everyone in my family loves the single note essential oils from Aveda ($13) especially the eucalyptus. There are so many ways to use them; but we keep them by the bedside and dab a few drops between our hands and inhale before bedtime. It's part of our relaxation ritual. -The Jet Set Girls

Nude Lips is an adorable stocking stuffer for all lips – this organic cupuacu and Tahitian vanilla monoi lip balm melts at body temperature ($14) for the prettiest gloss and most kissable lips. -Talking Makeup

What are some of your go-to beauty stocking stuffers?

Beautyblender: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

Let me speak frankly. If you’re applying your foundation with anything but the Beautyblender sponge, you’re doing it wrong. Look…I don’t mean to put you on blast, but I’m here to give it to you straight. And when I tell you that Beautyblender is, hands down, the best foundation applicator, I speak the truth.

The point of foundation is to fool the eye of the beholder into thinking you were blessed with a flawless complexion. But if you’re applying it incorrectly, or with inferior tools, you just look like you’re wearing a makeup mask. And who wants that? Nobody, that’s who. The difference between foundation that looks like foundation and foundation that looks like skin is Beautyblender.

Since I was introduced to Beautyblender in 2007, we have been in a monogamous relationship. It is the only tool I use to apply my foundation. Invented by Hollywood makeup artists, this sponge leaves you with a professional finish. Applying makeup with fingers or sharp-edged triangular sponges can waste makeup and can leave visible streaks. Beautyblender’s elliptical shape makes allows you to access hard-to-reach areas with ease. Its suede-like texture repels product, so your foundation actually ends up on your face - rather than absorbed by the sponge. And its unique curves fit the contours of your face, leaving your makeup dazzling and undetectable.

I even use it to apply my concealer and cream blushes. And if you have problem skin, I can’t recommend anything better for magically disguising blemishes and hyperpigmentation. Beautyblender is reusable (perfect for those green gals), latex-free, non-allergenic, and odor free...and makes a great holiday gift.

Give your beauty-loving BFF the gift of perfect skin with the Hot Pink Holiday Kit, which includes Beautyblender and 3 oz Blendercleanser in an organza drawstring carry pouch....tagged for gift giving!

You know who is also a fan of Beautyblender? My pal, and Celebrity Makeup Artist, Mario Dedivanovic. Watch the Beautyblender in action, as Mario makes up the beautiful face of his muse, Kim Kardashian.

Carol's Daughter Best Tressed Hair Set: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

This holiday beauty gift pick is for that follicularly challenged chick in your life. We all have that relative or friend whose hair is so dry, damaged or downright ratnesty that we're compelled to help. So this holiday season, instead of hooking her up with a cute hat, buy her the Best Tressed Hair Set from Carol’s Daughter.

Like the right pair of shoes, a hairdo can make or break your outfit. Starting off with gently-cleansing Rosemary Mint Shampoo with Sea Moss for dry hair is a wise choice. Layer in moisture with Black Vanilla Leave-in Conditioner. Hair Milk, a light solution for brittle hair, adds luster with the help of lemongrass and ylang-ylang. The essential oils of sage and rosemary in Lisa's Hair Elixir help combat dry hair and scalp while peppermint gives a refreshing tingle. Mimosa Hair Honey, an herbal-infused pomade, improves manageability and tames fly-aways so that the only thing catching anyone’s eye is your gorgeous hair!

I just tried Carol's Daughter hair products tonight, for the first time. And let me tell you...they are just as awesome as everything you've heard. I'm extremely embarrassed to be so tardy for the Carol's Daughter hair party; so I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon - I'm getting behind the wheel, y'all. After using the products in the Best Tressed Hair Set, my mane (which is usually the black hole of moisture and shine) is soft, shiny, wonderfully fragranced and feels so darn healthy that I'm in a state of shock.

What's even more amazing is the fact that these products are all natural - free of the harsh chemicals that jacked up your hair in the first place. "I wanted lots of moisture and no synthetic preservatives," says creator Lisa Price. "If I couldn't pronounce the ingredient, it wasn't going into the pot."

The Best Tressed Hair Set is the gift that keeps giving. Your homegirl, and her haphazard hair, will thank you.

Stila Mini Lip Glaze Collection: Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

John Keats once wrote, "Beauty is truth. Truth is beauty." Emily Dickinson said, "Beauty is not caused. It is." What's my beauty philosophy?

"A woman can never have too many lip glosses. Impossible."

Which is why I'm kicking off Spoiled Pretty's 2009 Holiday Beauty Gift Guide with this purty pick. The Stila Mini Lip Glaze Collection is a set of eight bite sized glosses that give you non-stop, 1.21 gigawatts of shimmer and shine.

The collection includes four best-selling favorites and four limited edition shades to outfit your lips:

* Starfruit: neutral pink-coral with white pearl
* Kitten: nude pink champagne with golden pearl
* Cranberry: sheer brick red
* Blackberry: deep purple wine
* Plum Fairy: sheer plum with pink pearl
* Candy: sheer pink-coral with subtle rainbow shimmer
* Marmalade: sheer peach with pink and white pearl
* Pinkle Twinkle: sheer mid-tone pink with rainbow shimmer

Every shade in this set is a contender, but I'm crowning Pinkle Twinkle the champ. She K.O.'d me with her sparkly sass and cotton candy scent.

If you have a lip gloss lover in your life, you can't go wrong by stuffing this in her stocking. Just make sure to pick up two sets, because there's no way you'll be able to resist their charm.

The Stila Mini Lip Glaze Collection ($25) is available at Sephora and stilacosmetics.com.
